Norwegian Health Association
Pindena is highly effective and recommended for managing large events that require registrations and other participant data.

Managed a national competition
Norwegian Health Association has been using Pindena’s registration system since 2021. The organization manages registrations for annual meetings, regional gatherings, fundraising campaigns, conferences, and local activities. In 2023, they explored whether the system could be used for the annual jump rope competition, “Hopp for hjertet.” This competition involves approximately 100,000 students from grades 4 to 7 in half of Norway’s primary schools.
During a joint meeting, it quickly became clear that the competition could be effectively managed using the registration system. This saved the administrators significant time while improving their ability to stay organized.
– We used Pindena to register participants for Hopp for hjertet and to record class points after the competition period ended, explains Maren Odberg Palm from the Norwegian Health Association.
The advantage of consolidating participant information in one place
With a participant list that is always up to date and includes all submitted information, staying organized becomes much easier.
– Pindena allowed us to gather all information in one place, which was incredibly practical. It made it simple to manage registrations and handle point tracking. Additionally, Pindena enabled us to easily communicate with registered participants and allowed participants to edit their own registrations, Maren says.
So far, the Norwegian Health Association has used Pindena’s communication tools sparingly for Hopp for hjertet. However, they plan to utilize this functionality more extensively for next year’s competition.
– We see that it will be much easier to send information to participants directly from Pindena compared to the separate newsletters we currently use, says Maren.
Norwegian Health Association is promoting physical activity among children and youth
The Norwegian Health Association is committed to increasing physical activity among children and youth. The purpose of the competition is to encourage more physical activity in schools.
– By inviting participation in the competition, we aim to create a fun and inclusive activity where students experience teamwork, success, and enjoyment, Maren explains.
The competition requires several registrations throughout its duration. Initially, a teacher must register the class by providing the school’s address and the number of students.
– Participation in the competition is free, and registered classes receive all necessary equipment, Maren says.
– The class jumps rope together and records how many minutes they are active each day. After the competition ends, the teacher logs the class’s points. We then send an email to all registered participants with a link to update this information on the registration page.
Ready for next year
After testing the system for this type of registration, the Norwegian Health Association is ready to use it again for next year’s competition, with plans to utilize even more of its features.
– This is the first year we’ve used Pindena for Hopp for hjertet, and after a conversation with one of their customer advisors, it became clear to us that there are many more possibilities within the system. This will make it even easier to manage the competition. We plan to explore these options for the 2025 competition, Maren says with satisfaction.
– Pindena is user-friendly, and it’s easy to get started with the system. We’ve had great experiences with Pindena’s customer service, receiving quick responses whenever we’ve reached out.
